CreatorClimb.me was born out of a simple but powerful idea: helping YouTube creators find their next big content idea without the guesswork. As a creator myself, I often struggled to keep up with trending topics and discover what my competitors were doing — so I decided to build a tool that makes this process effortless and data-driven.

Inspiration

The inspiration came from seeing how many talented creators spend hours researching trends manually or rely on guesswork, which often leads to missed opportunities. I wanted to create a platform that combines the power of AI with YouTube’s vast data to deliver personalized, actionable insights.

What I Learned

Building CreatorClimb.me taught me a lot about working with APIs, especially the YouTube Data API, and how to integrate AI models like Claude to analyze and generate relevant content ideas. I also gained experience in designing user-friendly dashboards that keep creators engaged and informed.

How It Was Built

The project is built on a modern tech stack that includes:

• YouTube Data API v3 for fetching channel and video data
• Claude AI for smart content analysis and trending topic generation
• A responsive web interface with intuitive navigation and real-time updates
• Secure user authentication and personalized settings to tailor insights

Challenges Faced

One of the biggest challenges was dealing with the limitations of the YouTube API, such as quota restrictions and the lack of a direct “related channels” endpoint. To overcome this, I combined multiple data points like channel topics, featured channels, and AI-driven keyword analysis to approximate similarity and relevance. Another challenge was ensuring the AI-generated ideas are meaningful and actionable, which required fine-tuning prompts and filtering results carefully.
