Inspiration

The inspiration behind CryptoProwess stems from the need for a seamless and user-friendly solution to track and manage Ethereum portfolios within popular wallet extensions. As crypto enthusiasts, we wanted a tool that not only displayed real-time portfolio data but also allowed for convenient swaps, all integrated directly into the user's wallet.

What it does

CryptoProwess is a wallet-integrated portfolio tracker and crypto swapper. It enables users to connect their wallet extensions, view detailed Ethereum account information, track multiple accounts, and visualize portfolio data dynamically. The application further facilitates crypto swaps by seamlessly redirecting users to their wallet's built-in swap page.

How we built it

Built as a progressive web app, CryptoProwess leverages the power of Chart.js for dynamic charting and Web3.js for seamless integration with popular wallet extensions. The development involved a combination of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a focus on creating an intuitive user interface.

Challenges we ran into

One of the primary challenges was ensuring compatibility with various wallet extensions and providing a unified experience across different platforms. Fetching real-time exchange rates for crypto swaps presented its own set of challenges, which we addressed by implementing loading overlays to enhance user experience during data fetching.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have created a comprehensive solution that not only meets the tracking needs of crypto enthusiasts but also simplifies the crypto swapping process. The dynamic charting, multi-account management, and seamless integration with wallet extensions mark significant accomplishments in enhancing user convenience.

What we learned

Through the development of CryptoProwess, we gained valuable insights into working with Ethereum APIs, managing wallet integration, and creating a responsive and visually appealing user interface. Handling real-time data fetching and implementing a loading overlay for improved user feedback were key learnings during the process.
