Inspiration

-> ClickDapp was inspired by how easy it is to start a Web 2 company. No-code tooling empowers a set of different players, from devs to PMs, to entrepreneurs, allowing them to create and iterate on their products with zero to no difficulty, low cost and faster development speeds.

In order to onboard the next billion users, most blockchains rely on the thesis of bringing more builders, so that those builders can onboard those billion users.

Until this point, you could not start your Web 3 company without knowing how to code. ClickDapp changes that.

What it does

ClickDapp is a no-code builder connected to the Near BOS library, giving devs, PMs and entrepreneurs the superpower of building entire blockchain applications and products without writing a single line of code.

How we built it

We created a PoC by connecting BOS to an already existing web 2 no code builder (plasmic).

Once that was done, we created a new tech called VmContext: this allows for BOS components to share their state. giving users the power of building entire new applications with already existing components, but entirely new UI and UX.

In order to prove that concept, we have also created a set of 3 new BOS Components:

  1. Liquity BOS Component - with an entirely customizable UI and using the VmContext;
  2. An indexer component for BOS;
  3. A Soulbound token minter;

Challenges we ran into

  • Decoupling big components;
  • Sharing the state between different components;
  • General lack os sleep

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of having created during the hackathon, not only the infrastructure to build no code but also a sample application that showcases a couple of use cases that users can already build using ClickDapp and existing components.

We are also proud of helping our fellow hackers. During the hackathon, we were approached by a hacker who had no tech team. We made ClickDapp available for that hackathon participant, and that person was able to deploy their own application, without the need of a team, empowering him to improve his own idea and create his SBT minter.

What we learned

  • We've learned that we need more backend/smart-contract functionalities;
  • We also need more BOS components to allow for more possibilities of creation;
  • It is also necessary to focus on education for non-tech users on how they can use Web 3 to build their products without code.

What's next for Click dApp

  • Integrating backend no-code tools, such as Mintbase and Orderly, to make it possible to create the complete business logic for dapps along with their frontend.
  • Develop and curate BOS new BOS components with super-powers (using VmContext)
  • Dev-ops automation for decentralized apps
    • For instance, deploy straightly to IPFS
  • Bounty sponsor for hackatons to build on ClickDapp
