Inspiration

Organizations dedicated to empowering disabled and marginalized individuals face significant difficulties in engaging volunteers and securing donations throughout India.

The lack of efficient connections between these organizations and volunteers/donors directly impacts the quality of life for the individuals who depend on them, worsening their challenges and hindering the realization of a truly inclusive and assistive India.

We aim to address this issue by creating CharitEase - a solution that promotes participation in charitable events and helps to make them successful.

What it does

CharitEase is a cross-platform mobile app that connects charities and PWD (People with Disabilities) welfare groups with volunteers, participants, and donors. It empowers these groups to reach wider audiences and efficiently manage their initiatives, thereby improving the lives of thousands of people who benefit from them.

CharitEase provides volunteers and donors with an accessible platform to discover and contribute to causes they care about, while also bringing to light the challenges faced by various people.

How we built it

We had the honor working with a great designer and a few developers who sacrificed their nights working on the flutter project. We also had to explore other domains like video editing, UI designing.

Challenges we ran into

Resolving merge conflicts was a slow start to ideation. The lack of sleep from trying to create an MVP in time didn't help either. Thinking of an idea around the given theme without assuming incorrect things about PWDs was also a major challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have conceived the idea, designed a beautiful interface, and created a working prototype for CharitEase in just 24 hours. Infact, we even made a UI/UX case study for the design, which you can view in the try-out-links (imgur).

What we learned

Working with a team requires proper time and sleep management. In order to pull off a project successfully, we had to learn and explore new technologies. We also learned the importance of proper role distribution and taking accountability for our own roles while working as a team.

What's next for CharitEase

CharitEase is a unique platform that has the potential to create a significant impact in the world of charitable events. By encouraging more people to participate in these events, CharitEase can help raise awareness about important causes that need attention. Additionally, the platform helps to create a more transparent donation process, as NGOs can post their accomplishments and showcase the impact of charitable donations. This can help donors to better understand the impact of their contributions, and in turn, motivate them to continue supporting these causes. With CharitEase, the possibilities for creating a positive change in society are endless.
