The idea for Buoy came from the desire to better contextualize the space around us. Using virtual sticky notes, we can record and share things like which bartender makes the best drinks at this bar, what the wifi password is at this cafe, or where the best hiking trail is in this park. The main focus is frictionless posting of relevant content with proximity-based filtering to cut down on the noise.
