Inspiration

We started researching about Machine Learning and this project caught our attention.

What it does

It counts the number of bugs and classifies them by size into four categories

How we built it

We built a main algorithm to calculate the number of occurences using opencv in Python and we bound it into an api so that we could use it from a mobile app

Challenges we ran into

The images had a lot of noise, it was our first project treating Machine Learning, and we had never built an api

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We accomplished the goal of the project by making a complete an robust system.

What's next for Bug Counter

Recolect proper images so that we could train a Machine Learning Model for the machine
