Inspiration

Having parents that struggle with small text on screens, I can understand that some people wanted large text output in their terminals to help with vision issues. Not seeing an obvious solution, I decided to implement this in a terrible fashion.

What it does

It makes terminal text output really big.

How I built it

With a bunch of really shitty lines of Python

Challenges I ran into

Interactive terminal apps just don't work. Oh well.

What I learned

Python isn't the ideal choice for this. Maybe ncurses.

What's next for bigterm

Maybe implementing it with interactive applications? But no clue.

Inspiration

I've always wanted a more retro aesthetic to my media consumption, and ASCII was the next logical step.

Plays youtube videos in ASCII
