Inspiration
We wanted to create a game that feels approachable at first glance but still rewards timing, exploration, and skillful movement while being challenging.
What it does
Azurveil is a 3D platforming game where players guide a playful hero across layered platforms, collect shimmering coins, avoid roaming enemies, and reach the final platform to win. The game uses a side-view camera to keep gameplay clear and focused while still showcasing depth and verticality in the environment.
How we built it
We built Azurveil using the Character Controller for smooth player movement and jumping, the Camera Controller to maintain a consistent side-view experience, and the Bitmoji Suite to give the main character personality.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was tuning jump physics and camera behavior so movement is responsive. We also spent time balancing enemy placement and platform spacing to keep the game challenging but fair for new players.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to build a polished 3D platformer experience with smooth controls, clear objectives, and a cohesive visual style.
What we learned
We learnt to build #D games using Character Controller , Camera Controller, and Bitmoji Suite
What's next for Azurveil
We want to expand Azurveil with additional levels, new enemy types, moving platforms, and score-based challenges. We’d plan to add collectibles, time trials, and a leaderboard to encourage replayability and friendly competition.
