Inspiration I was inspired by the many well-known/established IPs in children's edutainment. I wanted to create my own.
How it works Arithmemouse teaches young children basic math skills.
Challenges I ran into The biggest challenge was creating a game that worked across a wide variety of platforms-- one that was simple and intuitive for young children.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of I am a self-taught programmer. The first Arithmemouse game was created from the ground up in 3D Game Studio. I learned its unique scripting language. Later I, like everyone, switched to Unity. I created all of the code and art for all the games.
What I learned I learned that I could program-- not the best- but enough to get the job done-- and that I love programming almost as much as I love creating art.
