Inspiration
We saw how much time government employees spend reading and managing case files hours of paperwork, cross-checking documents, and chasing details. We wanted to build something that actually makes their work easier, faster, and less stressful.
What it does
AI CaseWorker reads through case documents, pulls out the most important info, and summarizes everything clearly. It helps employees understand complex cases in minutes, spot inconsistencies, and make decisions confidently without drowning in paperwork.
How we built it
We combined AI-powered language processing with Gemmini, a hardware accelerator that makes computations lightning-fast. This lets the system process large documents and extract key points almost instantly, fitting seamlessly into existing workflows.
Challenges we ran into
Every case is different—different formats, different details, different priorities. Making sure the summaries were accurate, useful, and trustworthy while keeping everything fast was tricky. Integrating with government systems also had its challenges.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We cut hours of work down to minutes, made complex cases easier to understand, and built a tool that employees actually enjoy using—helping them focus on decisions, not paperwork.
What we learned
AI works best when it supports humans, not replaces them. And using Gemmini showed us how much hardware optimization can boost real-world AI performance.
What's next for AI CASE WORKER
We want to handle even more document types, predict outcomes to guide decisions, and make it a seamless assistant that helps employees across all departments do their best work.
