I am senior manager and chief research scientist at NEC Labs Europe. I oversee the work of the groups Human-Centric AI (HAI) and Reliable GenAI Solutions (RGS). I’m the manager of the Human-Centric AI group, where we work on Natural Language Processing, Generative AI and agentic systems to enables human-AI collaborations that empower society. In HAI and RGS we build agentic AI solutions for NEC. Additionally, we publish at top-tier conferences and work on patent applications. I’m passionate about developing AI technologies that are understandable, supportive, and capable of extending human capabilities in meaningful ways.
Before joining NEC Labs, I was a graduate research assistant and PhD student at Heidelberg University. During that time I worked on reinforcement learning from human feedback for Generative AI.
