Get ready for an exciting one-week game development challenge! From April 4th to April 10th, you’ll have the opportunity to create your very own game, either solo or with a team. Participants can use any programming language of their choice to bring their game ideas to life.

Submit your game projects on Devpost by the deadline, and don’t forget to prepare your presentation! On April 11th, we’ll gather in person from 11 AM to 3 PM to view all the amazing games you’ve developed and announce the winners. You’ll have the chance to showcase your work to a panel of university professors who will judge the projects. Your games will be evaluated based on creativity, gameplay quality, design, and technical implementation.

Amazing prizes await the winners, including a portable fridge, headphones, and more!

Lunch
Lunch will be provided during the in-person presentation session.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to test your skills, collaborate with others, and have fun developing your dream game!

Requirements

What to Build:
Participants are required to develop a fully functional game. You can work individually or with a team, and the choice of game genre is up to you—whether it’s a platformer, puzzle game, simulation, or anything else you can imagine! Your game should be playable and demonstrate clear, interactive gameplay. You can use any programming language or game development tools of your choice.

Submission Requirements:

  1. Game Project: Upload your game files to Devpost. Make sure to include all necessary files (source code, executable files, or game assets) and instructions on how to play the game.

  2. Game Trailer or Demo: If possible, submit a short video or demo of your game in action. This will help showcase its features and gameplay to the judges.

  3. GitHub Repository (optional): If you're using version control, include a link to your GitHub repo to allow the judges to review your code.

Important Dates:

  • April 4th: Hackathon starts.

  • April 10th: Final day for submitting projects on Devpost.

  • April 11th (11 AM - 3 PM): In-person presentation of your game, followed by the announcement of winners. This will be your opportunity to pitch your game to a panel of judges from our university.

    Judging Panel:
Your games will be evaluated by a panel of professors, who will review your project based on creativity, gameplay quality, design, and technical implementation.
