STEMarts Apprenticeship Application
This application is open to girls between the ages of 14-19 from Northern New Mexico. The 2026 year-long program will run from January 15 to  December 15. Apprentices receive a scholarship award of $1000 in payments throughout the year.  It is designed to provide apprentices with an opportunity to be part of a real world sci-art team and traveling installation to develop valuable STEAM skills for the 21st century workplace. Apprentices receive training in diverse areas at the intersection of art, science and technology. At the end of the year individuals can be placed in paid internship or STEMarts opportunities based on completion and skill level. Apprentices receive training to become paid STEMarts Ambassadors as part of our  traveling XR installations.

The program is designed around school and work schedules and will primarily be delivered through Zoom and other virtual platforms and four in-person Bootcamps, field trips and participation in 2-3 festivals or events in the year. Travel stipends and meals for distance travels will be provided for physical meetings.

The application can be submitted anytime throughout the year.

One or two letters of recommendation from teachers or mentors are encouraged.

Program requirements:
1. Strong internet at home for video calls and online work.
2. Access to transportation to attend in person events throughout the year (parent travel stipends provided as needed).
3. Have time in their schedules to commit to this program (4- 6 virtual hours a month) plus time working on events and festivals, and flexibility to attend out of town festivals and events.
