#33 IDLE occasionally fails to run programs

Occasionally after a long period of use, the version of IDLE shipped with Visual will start silently failing to run programs. Pressing F5 has no visible effect at all. Closing all IDLE windows and starting a new process works.

The bug is not easily repeatable, but it's been observed a significant number of times.

    When IDLE was in this state, I observed that other programs could not connect TCP sockets (for example, Internet Explorer and telnet failed to work, but ping worked). The error was 10055 (ENOBUF). I believe this is a result of the protocol server failing to close sockets returned from accept().

    I believe I have fixed the bug. If it is observed in XIDLE-2000-06-07 or later, I'll reopen the bug report.
