As the camera approaches one end of a long cylinder, the cylinder is refined to maintain a constant visual quality level. As the camera approaches the other end, nothing happens.
Fixed - the code assumed that a cylinder was 1 unit long in model space, but it's 2 units long. I also increased the detail level for cylinder.
