Lent at St. Luke's
St. Luke's Lenten Challenge
Following last year’s RenewalWorks survey, St. Luke’s has been prayerfully reflecting on who we are and how we live out our faith together. From that work, our RenewalWorks Implementation Team, clergy, and parish leaders have developed a St. Luke’s Way of Life—a simple, descriptive guide that reflects how our community has faithfully lived and grown over the years. You’ll find Way of Life cards available in the Narthex.
Throughout Lent, we’ll be inviting the parish to engage this Way of Life through a shared Lenten Challenge, with special focus on Engaging with Scripture. Beginning on the first day of Lent, participants will receive a daily Scripture reading by email, accompanied by brief reflection questions to help us deepen our engagement with God’s Word, both individually and as a community.

Shrove Tuesday, February 17
Shrove Tuesday marks the last feast celebration before the fast of Lent begins. Join us in the Parish Hall on Tuesday, March 17 at 5:30 pm for a pancake dinner prepared by the youth group and the Brotherhood of St. Andrew. Donations are accepted. This is an all-ages event with great fellowship and fun for everyone!
Ash Wednesday, February 18
All services will include Holy Communion and imposition of ashes. You’re welcome to join St. Luke’s School for their Ash Wednesday Chapel service at 8:00 am. We will hold a said service at noon and our choir will join us at our 6:00 pm service. If you are attending the 8:00 service please check in at the School’s Jones Lobby first. Childcare will be available at the 6:00 pm service.
Wednesdays in Lent
“A Journey Through Holy Week”
This year we continue our partnership with other local Episcopal churches for our Lenten programming. Each Wednesday, starting at 5:30 pm, we will travel to a different church, eat dinner together, hear a presentation from clergy and parishioners exploring the unique liturgies that make up Holy Week, and pray Compline together.
