Join fellow Austin-area* social studies teachers for an evening after-hours at Black Pearl Books. After a light dinner and drinks, Emily Glankler will present and lead a discussion on "Diversifying Our Curriculum Year-Round." The goal of this event is primarily to get teachers together to connect, build community, and find friends and allies in an increasingly tough job. *This event is in-person.

I will walk through how to understand DBQ prompts, skim and organize the documents and develop an essay response. Even though you do not need to be an AP student for this session, the presentation will include a short breakdown of the College Board rubric and requirements for those preparing for the AP U.S./World/European History exam. *This event is FREE for all students/parents registered in my homeschool courses (so you don't need to purchase anything here.)
