“If music be the food of love, play on.” – William Shakespeare NKEM is a YOUNG SINGER/SONGER WRITER/DANCER WITH A TRUE PASSION TO ENTERTAIN. #thenkemmovement. Her roots from the DMV and Nigeria has giving her music a style that gives her music a COMPETITIVE EDGE!! She has a natural talent for setting life to lyrics and has the vocals to match. NKEM has been writing songs since she was able to write and she is truly lyrically gifted. Her love for the craft compelled her to become a self-taught producer of both beats and songs. She characterizes her music as the “New Old School” as she pulls inspiration from both new and old school tracks. “Music is my outlet. I write from the perspective of my life as well as my listeners. I feel music is meant to tell a story.” NKEM is currently working on a lot of remixed covers preparing for the drop of her much anticipated EP.
