Richard Speight, Jr., is a versatile Nashville-born actor, director, producer, and screenwriter who has made his mark across television and film since graduating cum laude from USC's School of Theatre. Best known for his beloved recurring role as the trickster Archangel Gabriel in the hit CW series Supernatural, he's also delivered memorable performances in HBO's acclaimed Band of Brothers as Sergeant Warren 'Skip' Muck and appeared in hit series like Jericho, The Agency, and Justified, plus the 2021 western Old Henry. Behind the camera, Speight's proven his directorial chops on CW's Supernatural, CW's Kung Fu, Netflix's Lucifer, and Netflix's Dead Boy Detectives. Drawing from his extensive convention experience, he co-created the comedy series Kings of Con (available on Prime), showcasing his wit, approachable humor, and insider knowledge of fan culture.

Dick Jr. & the Volunteers was born—transforming Speight from convention entertainer to legitimate recording artist. Two albums later, "The Dance and How to Do It" and "FistFights and Hug-Outs," he's proven that sometimes the best musical journeys take the scenic route from bar band to headliner.
