TaxWise

Inspiration

We were inspired by the need to make financial literacy more accessible and engaging for everyone. Financial education can often feel overwhelming, so we wanted to create a tool that turns complex concepts into a fun, interactive experience.

What it does

WealthWise is a gamified app that helps users learn about financial literacy through real-life scenarios. It covers everything from investing in stocks and real estate to understanding taxes and managing money, all while rewarding users for progress.

How we built it

We built WealthWise using a combination of interactive UI/UX design, gamification strategies, and financial tools. We integrated a chatbot for personalized guidance, a tax calculator to track obligations, and real-time financial reporting to keep users on track with their goals.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was designing a user experience that was both engaging and educational without overwhelming users with too much information. Ensuring the app accurately reflects real-world financial principles while keeping it fun and interactive required careful balance.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of how well WealthWise blends financial education with gaming mechanics, making learning enjoyable. The real-time tax tracking feature also provides unique value, helping users understand the tax impact of their decisions in a way that's easy to digest.

What we learned

We learned that making financial concepts approachable and fun requires simplifying complex ideas without losing their depth. Also, combining education with gamification can significantly increase engagement and retention.

What's next for WealthWise

In the future, we plan to expand WealthWise with even more investment options, add community features for users to share tips, and incorporate more personalized learning paths based on each user's financial goals.
